With this theme we talked about what money was and looked like. The difference between coins and dollars and how a piggy bank works. We did an experiment about what cleans a penny the best. We took Vinegar, Salt, Flour, Ketchup, & Water. We found that water and flour do not clean the penny but ketchup does a great job. We also found out that when you mix salt and vinegar together, it makes the penny very clean and shinny. It worked the best :) The kids loved this one.
